Maharaja's on Carmen is the latest in a series of successful restaurants under the Maharaja brand. Started in 1991, food lovers all over Sydney have enjoyed dining at our restaurants in Kirribili, Bella Vista, Quakers Hill, Dural and now in Carlingford too.........MORE

The Maharaja brand has always been known for excellence - in food, service and presentation. Having served prominent Australians from the world of politics, sports, entertainment and much more, we have always presented authentic Indian cuisine with several innovating recipes. With Maharaja's on Carmen, we have stepped into stylish dining which offers several delightfully different dishes such as Tandoori Snapper, Kerala Prawns, Blue Cheese Naan and a lot more. All served with traditional Indian hospitality and warmth which makes every meal a memorable occasion.

Food was very nice and promptly served. Service was good but wouldn’t know about busy times as this was during one of those restricted periods and there was only one other family eating there. They were doing a steady custom in take away and the food was good. Priced well.

10/10 Absolutely fantastic experience! We were very pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. We've been in the area for a while and didn't know this place existed. Prices are a little higher than I would normally go for, but I would absolutely go and pay the same again. I would especially recommend to eat in - very personable staff, great decor, music, comfy seating, stylish, and the food is a taste banquet. Perfect balance of friendly and classy. New favourite, I would absolutely have my birthday dinner there.

Had the work X Mas party here yesterday 13/12. Met with the Chef beforehand to decide on the menu items as some of the guests were vegetarians. Very new building and layout. The ambiance and the food was fantastic. Flavoursome food in more than enough quantities. Everyone had such a great time. Special mention should be made of Kamal who was in charge and saw to it that everything we required was available. Reasonable pricing as well. Highly recommend.

Seriously the BEST Indian food....Ever! Plenty of parking out the front in this little shopping strip. Well worth travelling to visit and dine here! Great service, delicious food - we had several dishes and everything was just perfect. Fresh ingredients, cooked superbly, pleasant decor, easy parking at the front door - a tick in every box! Highly recommended!

This is our third time to this fabulous local restaurant. So I am happy to give five stars for consistent great personal service and delicious food. Some of the best curries I have had in Sydney. A family favourite.

This is a new restaurant in the neighborhood. Nice presentation, attentive staff and the food is very good.We ate and ordered there a couple of times and we were never disappointed. Prices marginally higher than the usual Indian restaurant, but this is not the usual. Location isn't fabulous, albeit convenient, probably the only downside.

Waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable, and was happy to oblige with a dish request which wasn't on the menu. The meal was very tasty, although the malai kofta was too creamy for our liking, but the waitress offered to make it more to our liking in the future upon request. One downside was the cost: bill was surprisingly high (eg. $8 for a glass of lemon lime and bitters is quite steep.

I went to this restaurant for our dinner today. The place was pretty packed. I noted that there are enough parking spaces available for customers. I loved the food, I found the food to be fresh and well made. The decor was nice and so was the team that ran the dining room. Will definitely frequent this place, if the food quality is maintained as it is now.

Surprisingly nice decor and interior. The price-point is a touch higher than similar restaurants to dine-in, but possibly worth it if you are willing to pay a bit extra for convenience or a trendier ambiance. Staff had just the right level of attentiveness and were not overbearing, very good service. Most importantly the food is good and is presented well with generous portions. BYO with nearby bottleshop. Would recommend and deserves the stars given.
